State expected to provide $15 million in matching funds
Bonds would finance capital costs, including:
- Increasing capacity for healthcare, commercial truck driving, EMT, welding and manufacturing programs
- Enhancing safety with improved campus security systems and lockdown capabilities
- Updating aging building systems including roofs, siding, flooring, HVAC and electrical
- Modernizing classrooms and labs to support workforce training
- Expanding Table Rock campus to meet growing enrollment in CTE programs
- Upgrading Redwood campus (Grants Pass) to increase training space in automotive, healthcare, and manufacturing programs
- Renovating downtown Medford campus with a new student success center creating more learning opportunities outside the classroom
- Site improvements, furnishings, equipment, bond interest, issuance costs.
Jackson County: property tax rates are estimated to continue at the current rate of $0.13/$1000 of assessed value
Josephine County: property tax rates are estimated to increase by $0.09/$1000 to $0.13/ $1000 of assessed value
Rates subject to change based on interest rates, assessed value fluctuations. Bonds would mature within 21 years from the date of issuance, may be issued in series.
