TABLE ROCK CAMPUS

Rogue Community College has spent the past year examining the conditions and needs of its facilities. The college has undergone a rigorous engagement process with students, staff and industry experts to assess the physical condition of buildings and identify areas of need. As a result of this process, the college’s four greatest areas of need were identified as:

  • Meet Local Demand for Skilled Workers
  • Repair Aging Buildings
  • Improve Safety and Security
  • Update Outdated Learning Environments

What are the current conditions of Table Rock Campus?

Rogue Community College’s TRC campus has rapidly expanded due to increased demands in workforce training. Today, the campus has an inefficient layout with outdated building systems and technology that do not meet the needs of growing enrollment. If passed, proposed Measure 17-119 would update the campus, facilities and programming to support the region’s hiring demands as the premier career and technical training college in Jackson County.

What would happen if the Proposed Measure passes?

The proposed measure, if passed, would raise $60.3 million for Rogue Community College and fund the following projects at Table Rock Campus:

TRC A Building Renovation

Renovate TRC A to include dedicated labs, classrooms, upgraded student supports and administrative areas.

College Service Center Consolidation

Create space for additional classrooms and labs by consolidating Shipping and Receiving, Facilities and Operations, and IT into one location.

Automotive & Diesel Training Programs

Bring automotive training to White City and upgrade TRC’s diesel technology facilities. The expanded Transportation Technology program would also offer short-term training and skill updates in alternative fuels.

New CDL Training Facilities

Construct a centralized, closed-course training facility for RCC’s Certified Truck Driving (CDL) program, including expanded parking and practice areas.

Safety & Security Upgrades

Enhance safety and security for students and staff with upgraded camera systems and lockdown capabilities.

Industrial Technology

Upgrade the industrial technology facilities and program by creating an industrial technology-related hub that could house RCC apprenticeship programs and meet growing demand for welding and manufacturing technology.

Welcome Center

Add a new Welcome Center, opening up needed instructional space and creating a “front door” presence to the growing campus. Additional parking will be included.

Student Success Center

Create a centrally located Student Success Center, including an enhanced Academic Success Center. The remodeled facility will centralize student resources such as tutoring, accessibility services, student employment services, library resources and testing facilities.

Accessibility Improvements

ADA accessibility upgrades to ensure that all students, staff and community members can have equal access to public buildings.
