RIVERSIDE CAMPUS
Rogue Community College has spent the past year examining the conditions and needs of its facilities. The college has undergone a rigorous engagement process with students, staff and industry experts to assess the physical condition of buildings and identify areas of need. As a result of this process, the college’s four greatest areas of need were identified as:•
- Meet Local Demand for Skilled Workers
- Repair Aging Buildings
- Improve Safety and Security
- Update Outdated Learning Environments
What are the current conditions of Riverside Campus?
Rogue Community College’s Riverside Campus has rapidly expanded due to increased demands in workforce training. Today, the campus has a series of student services inefficiently scattered across the campus which do not meet growing needs. If passed, proposed Measure 17-119 would improve RVC’s student services center and support the region’s hiring demands.
What would happen if the Proposed Measure passes?
The proposed measure, if passed, would raise $60.3 million for Rogue Community College and fund the following projects at Riverside Campus:
New Student Success Center
Repurpose an existing building to create a new Student Success Center to house enrollment, student supports and learning opportunities outside the classroom.
- The RVC project aims to relocate Rogue Central to the Student Success Center, replacing a temporary solution with a permanent facility. This move would optimize space, meet increased demand for in-person services and foster a student-centered environment conducive to academic success. The remodeled facilities and expanded programs at RVC would centralize essential services, promoting active and collaborative learning to support student engagement and success.
Safety & Security Upgrades
Enhance safety and security for students and staff with upgraded camera systems and lockdown capabilities.
Accessibility Improvements
Upgrade ADA accessibility, ensuring that all students, staff and community members can have equal access to public buildings.
